BE AWARE:
Last
week a person by the name of Brian Williams called our home and offered to
buy our lot at Valle Vista.
He said
he is with Preferred Properties Services in Florida
and represents huge investors that are interest in buying "up" property in
Valle Vista and surrounding areas.
He
offered 50% more than what we paid for the lot and will only cost $50.00 for
"paper work" not the usual

real estate fees. The lot would closed in 45 days if not sooner. This
"Brian" had a story that a bunch of investors came to the Valle Vista area
last month and decided to buy up most of the properties.
Brian
said that all I have to do is give my credit card number to a secure
internet address for $750.00 to start the process. At the close of escrow I
would get our $700.00 back and they would keep the $50.00 for "paper work"!
I told him the usual process is we open escrow. the $ goes into escrow but I
never heard of giving my credit card via the internet for the sell of
property. I told him I needed to check-out his company etc.etc.; he was
totally unflappable when he heard this.
I first
called my Real Estate person (here in S.D. that I have done business with in
the passed) and he said SCAM!
My
husband called the Tampa Police dept. @ 813-231-6130, they where alarmed and
transferred Ron to the Justice Dept. Consumer Affairs @ 727-6464-6200. They
were extremely concerned, took the report and now investigating the company.
